Roch Capital, a privately held capital management firm headquartered in Glen Mills, PA, is hiring a Senior Investment Analyst.

This position reports in-office Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.

The Family Office Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for the administration of the Firm's investment portfolios. Responsibilities include performing market research and industry analysis, conducting due diligence and financial analysis on potential investments, writing, maintaining, and monitoring adherence to Investment Policy Statements (IPS), and managing the liquidity needs of the portfolios. The Sr. Investment Analyst will meet with Investors and Business Managers regularly to review investment results and present new investment opportunities. The Sr. Investment Analyst will ensure the investments and the administration of the investments are in accordance with the guidelines of the trust and entity documents. 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor existing investment portfolios, analyze investment performance, identify key drivers and risks.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, asset allocation and trends, including appropriate narratives.
  • Perform market research and industry analysis to identify potential investment themes and opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis on potential investment opportunities.
  • Preparation of investment memos and presentations.
  • Support the evaluation and execution of investment transactions, including financial modeling and deal structuring.
  • Review investment performance of external investment managers/advisors.
  • Develop Investment Policy Statements (IPS) for the investment portfolios.  Review IPSs annually and update as appropriate based on changing return requirements, risk tolerances, liquidity needs and investment environment.
  • Ensure compliance with investment provisions of trusts, estate, corporate entities, and foundations legal documents.
  • Assist Trustees in the administration of fiduciary responsibilities including providing investment reporting and documenting actions taken in the administering of the trusts' investments. 
  • Meet regularly with Investors and Business Managers to review investment results, liquidity needs, changes in risk tolerance and management of the portfolio.
  • Participate in the Investment Committee meetings of the charitable foundations and assist in document preparation and meeting administration.
  • Review daily cash reports to ensure cash needs are met and funds are optimally invested. Assist with liquidity planning and treasury functions.
  • Assist with managing investment service providers.
  • Review system data on investments for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.  Ensure adequate data quality controls in place.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of investment processes and tools.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience administering investment portfolios for individuals, trusts, charitable foundations, and corporate entities. Experience must include face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • Experience developing and administering investment policy statements.
  • Experience in reviewing financial statements and an understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for investment companies and related reporting requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret legal documents.
  • Experience in trading and securities research.
  • Experience in financial analytics and modeling
  • Excellent understanding of alternative investment concepts and industry dynamics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and all levels of management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in portfolio accounting and financial software, and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills essential.
  • High degree of personal integrity

Education & Work Experience:

  • B. A. or B. S. degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment management, analysis and reporting.

Certifications and Licenses

  • CPA, CFA or CIPM designation (or in process) preferred.
