The Merchant Sales Manager will provide expertise in developing merchant acquisitions and will support the account management, product, and merchant support functions in the onboarding of merchant accounts.

Essential Functions:

  • Become an account expert in the merchant services products and solutions offered by Applied Bank.
  • Understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and develop recommendations.
  • Review merchant processing needs, recommend viable solutions and drive portfolio growth through new merchant acquisitions.
  • Support merchant relationships through Customer sales and support.
  • Participate in the implementation process for new merchants.

Essential Skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of merchant processing including pricing, association requirements, and risk.
  • Strong interpersonal and Customer relationship management skills.
  • Experience and aptitude with software platforms such as integrated payment gateways, ecommerce processing solutions and technology, Point-of-Sale software, mobile wallets, and alternative payment solutions is a plus.
  • Keen eye to identify profitability and the ability to report portfolio trends and growth.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
