Applied Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan and Commercial Mortgage Administrative Assistant, with primary responsibilities being to assist the Bank’s Chief Lending Officer in its Rehoboth Beach office with the closing and servicing of Commercial Loans and Mortgages.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial Banking Executive including providing phone coverage/support, maintain calendars and perform research in support of requests/projects.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for the loan approval and closing process by ensuring that all areas of approval and compliance have been addressed.
  • Manage loan documents including the review of loan documents for completeness and accuracy and ensure that loan documents are loaded into document management / recordkeeping systems, according to retention guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with construction draws by coordinating site visits, track budget expenditures and disburse draws.
  • Track and collect commercial loan payments and post-closing fees.
  • Communicate with customers regarding loan activities.
  • Produce, analyze and review tracking, control and management reports for commercial loan customers that track insurance, loan payments, real estate taxes, financial information and new commercial loan requests.
  • Support internal audit function in preparing and producing documentation requests as needed.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Previous commercial loan administration experience & knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Three  or more years of work experience in financial services preferred
  • Two year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
